Mayday Mayday Emotions are on the Loose

Updated: Apr 3, 2024

According to the Oxford Dictionary, emotions are an instinctual state of mind that one experiences in response to their environment, mood, or social interactions. An instinctual state, not a factual state. You are in control of your beliefs, and those beliefs become your reality. Emotions can sometimes be an internal attack of the mind. Emotions can attack in ways you may not understand. Emotions can be a private battle no one can talk about. But this can be identified by others and the world around you.

You can experience depression and or anxiety behind this. An anxious and worried mind is not normal. Some emotions will have you rocking back and forth as if you’re in a rocking chair. The movement is there, but it’s getting you nowhere. It’s important to let go of the past feelings of pain. Harboring those emotions will stunt your growth in life. Growing emotionally allows you to stop complaining about what hasn't happened. You need to determine what emotion is no longer needed. These emotions may tie into anxieties, thoughts, limited beliefs and people. You must eliminate what no longer serves you to grow.

You’re not the seed you used to be, but you’re not the tree that you’re going to be yet. But you must learn how to have gratitude where you are in the process in order to bare the fruit.

At times, your circumstances will not align with your dreams. At that moment, it’s up to you if you want to reduce your life to what’s happening in the present and just give up. Or, you can control the emotion of knowing your life will eventually run parallel with your dream if you were to try harder. The only way you can get to a productive place is to focus on the solution and not the problem. You will have to engage in what you need to do. Engaging in negative emotions will create a self-inflected state of stagnation.

Don’t be in love with tomorrow while neglecting today. If you keep obsessing over tomorrow, you won’t learn the lesson of today. Until that lesson is learned, you will relive the same days over and over until you’re ready. When ready you will be able to progress on to your new tomorrow. Knowing oneself emotionally is the key to having knowledge, and knowledge is power.
