People like us have the freedom to choose, and the choices we make today will affect the future. Some life stories involve elements that could include violence, abandonment, poverty, family expectations, or mistrust. You are not who you are because of these circumstances. You should examine your decisions and options with the person in the mirror. This should be based on things that help you live a better life. It is not necessary to seek validation; one should already possess it. We are only temporarily present here. Why not allow yourself to live and make the most of it? You entered this planet by yourself, and you will exit it alone. It's best to leave a legacy behind now, before you're dead and gone. Your name is the initial step in this process. If you're trying to be the best version of yourself, this shouldn't be tainted by anyone. Give them something they will remember while leaving positive footsteps in the sand.
