"Hold yourself responsible for a higher standard than anybody else expects of you."

What is the blueprint for achieving the life you deserve? It’s not all about your surroundings, managed time, the law of attraction, or written plans. These are just as good to have, but they're not the glue to make things stick when it comes to life. Self-discipline prevents you from falling short. You can have all the knowledge in the world, but without a consistent work ethic, your actions will die off quickly. Consistent self-discipline isn’t weighed by intellect. It’s actually a waste of time if you don’t use it. Better knowledge is applied knowledge. Once knowledge has been obtained, it is your job to study the results of this. While refining these results, you should rinse and repeat. This will create an atmosphere of joy that will provide the momentum for continued progress. The goal is to be engulfed in a wind of achievement on the rise to a successful life and career. This is easier said than done for most. That’s why the mastery of self-discipline is imperative. Be consistent with your time management, your plans, and your goals. Never waiver from the cycle because you can encounter elusive thoughts or sporadic results. Time is continuous, so managing this is a need. You want to avoid frustration or setbacks. Simply avoiding those voices of potential failure requires discipline. It takes discipline to admit when you are wrong or accept your limitations. Without this, it may lead to exaggerations or not being honest with yourself or others. It can potentially to destroy your credibility. The mindset of winning is a strategic battle that also requires discipline. Sometimes the ego can be your worst enemy. It tells you to feed off the opinions of others, which may or may not be rewarding in the end. The one person whose opinion you should always consider is your own. The discipline of this will be a repellent to any outside negative energies trying to tear down your walls of self advancement. Habits are formed every day, but without self-discipline, unhealthy habits are created unconsciously. This and other things will possibly deter you from your goal. You must slowly detach from these unhealthy habits in order to make room for progressive ones.
There are a few techniques you can learn to create and maintain your self-discipline. I have created 10 ways to gain self-discipline during your self-growth journey.
10 Ways to Gain Self-Discipline
1. Visualize your success
2. Know your strength and weaknesses
3. Commit to your commitments
4. Set clear goals
5. Time management
6. Learn strategies to tolerate uncomfortable situations
7. Eliminate any temptations
8. DON’T STOP
9. Celebrate your success
10. Rinse and repeat
Another habit that you must try to immediately detach from is procrastination. Handling things tomorrow instead of today can deplete your will to act. This is the opposite of discipline. Procrastination tells you to do what you can but not what you must, whereas self-discipline tells you to do it right now. No matter what circumstance you face, you will be given these two choices. It's totally up to you to choose life over stagnation.
