You versus You

"Live, make mistakes, learn and build. Don't settle for what life gives you. "

I'd like to extend a warm welcome on your quest for self-improvement More often than you'd like to admit, people are primarily concerned with appeasing other people and maintaining the status quo. These could have multiple effects on you. Examples include landing that job you want, finding love, or simply receiving likes on social media. But if you get into anything without a clear sense of self-direction, it’s possible you will get lost along the way. You are the one who has to move your body around, take care of its needs, dress it, and, most importantly, hold it up in court. If you lose who you are, then you may seek outside attention with the hopes of finding yourself. This route I would not recommend. So why does the opinion of others matter? Nothing can truly prevent you from living your life to the fullest. It starts with your mind. When we are in a constant state of fear, we can lose out on a lot of good things. For example, you may want to apply for a position and have mentioned it to a friend. That friend’s opinion discouraged you, and you decided not to apply. You never gave yourself a chance to see if you would get the position or not. That fear of failure made you lose out on a possible financial advancement. Some individuals have a misunderstanding of the concept of failure. Failure is not to be feared, it’s to be faced. When facing fear, we realize that it was never a loss; it was a lesson all along. You can’t reach level 10 without climbing steps 1 through 9. Exhaustion can occur when climbing 10 flights of stairs. However, at each level you reach, you will learn how to adjust just to get to the next.

This analogy is the way of life. I'd like to inspire you to adjust to what life offers you. If you fail, try again. Your lesson is your motivation. Things will ultimately go in your favor when learning new ways of processing. The inner me is the enemy that you should be most terrified of. This guide is meant to steer you in the right direction. The direction of the self. Whatever situation you have, you still possess the strength to battle another day.
